Board of Trustees' Approval of Faculty and Administrative Appointments
In May of 2021, Utah Code Section 53B-2-106, which governs certain responsibilities of the University president and Board of Trustees, was amended to remove the required Board of Trustees approval for appointments of faculty and administrative officers. The related changes to the policies have been approved and are effective as of February 8, 2022. The following policies and rules have been updated to reflect this change:

- Policy 6-301: Appointments, Annuities, and Retirement
- Policy 6-302: Appointments of Faculty
- Policy 6-306: Academic Librarians
