Board of Trustees Approval of Faculty and Administrative Appointments

In May of 2021, Utah Code Section 53B-2-106, which governs certain responsibilities of the University president and Board of Trustees was amended to remove the required Board of Trustees approval for appointments of faculty and administrative officers. The related changes to the policies have been approved and are effective as of February 8, 2022. Procedure P3-100D: Gift Card Purchases and Requirements

P3-100D Gift Card Purchases and Requirements is effective Jan. 15, 2022 and outlines the approvals and controls that must be in place when gift cards are purchased. This procedure applies to all academic and administrative units of the University and to all methods used when purchasing gift cards. Procurement and Contracting Services has also created a number of forms to be used when these purchases occur, as well as documents describing the procedures departments should follow. These documents can be found on the Financial and Business Services' website. Departments that have questions about the procedure, or associated documents, should contact the office responsible for the type of procurement method being used.
