Effective November 12, 2024, the university revised Policy 3-044: Museum and Library Collections and Non-Museum Decorative Items to align with revisions to the American Alliance of Museums' (AAM) Code of Ethics for Museums related to the use of funds from deaccessioned objects.

Effective November 12, 2024, the university revised Policy 3-019: University of Utah Internal Audit Policy to align the policy with revised standards from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). The university is required by state law to perform its work in accordance with the IIA standards.
Effective October 8, 2024, the University created Policy 7-200: Research Administration Policy. This policy creates an organizational structure for the Office of the Vice President for Research to create rules and procedures, through the University’s regulation development process, to comply with sponsor requirements.
Effective September 10, 2024, the University revised Policy 5-003: University of Utah Staff Council (UUSC) to align with current Staff Council by-laws and to delegate certain authority related to the staff council to the by-laws.
Effective September 10, 2024, the University revised Policy 6-411: Student Records to meet a requirement related to the length of time a notation of a suspension for a behavior standards violation remains on a student's transcript, as required by Utah Board of Higher Education policy.
