Changes to Reviews of Tenured Faculty Members in Response to State Law
Effective May 17, 2024, the University revised Policies 6-303: Reviews of Tenure-line Faculty Members (RPT Criteria, Standards, & Procedures) and 6-321: Tenured Faculty Reviews (TFR) for compliance with recent changes to state law. The updates to Policy 6-303 include adding protection of academic freedom and President consultation with the Board of Trustees in award of tenure cases. The additions to Policy 6-321 include adding the protection of academic freedom and the minimum TFR file requirements. Finalization of these interim policies will go through the normal policy review and approval process in the next academic year.
