The University Regulations Office assists the university community with university policies, rules, procedures, and guidelines; provides technical assistance to units revising university regulations; guides university units through the university's regulation revision process; provides education, resources, and training related to university regulations; and updates and maintains the Regulations Library. The University Regulations Office promotes transparency, integrity, compliance, and consultation in the university's regulation revision process.

Rule R6-500B: University Catalog and Curriculum Change Cycle
Effective August 11, 2026, the university created Rule R6-500B: University Catalog and Curriculum Change Cycle and revised Policy 6-101: Undergraduate Study and Degrees to bring requirements related to the university catalog and a student’s assigned catalog year into alignment with national practice and federal Title IV (financial aid) regulations.

Policy 3-030: Travel Policy
Effective August 11, 2026, the university revised portions of Policy 3-030: Travel Policy that specifically address travel by the university president or the university president's partner to comply with recent changes in Utah Board of Higher Education Policy R212: Chief Executive Travel Oversight.

Rule R6-100B: Accommodations in Courses for Students' Religious and Conscience Beliefs
Effective August 1, 2026, the university revised Rule R6-100B: Accommodations in Courses for Students' Religious and Conscience Beliefs. This revision combines existing university regulations related to accommodations for schedule and accommodations for content and revises the rule to comply with Utah Code Section 53H-7-903 and Utah Board of Higher Education Policy R264.
